My whole life I’ve had trouble making decisions. Meet the dish of my dreams - the Thali plate! Appetizer (fried veggie fritter), rice, mango salad, lentil soup, a pile of naan and three entrees! The only decision was meat or vegetarian. Such a relief! 😁

I had the veggie option with tandoori paneer (firm cheese, yum), spiced chickpeas and vegetable tikka masala. Loved it all. My husband had the chicken options, also good! @marigoldmaison

@themissionaz never disappoints (and luckily we didn’t sit on the patio! #downpour ) ; @porterswesternsaloon was packed and festive as ever; literally can’t go to Old Town without popping into @hulas_scottsdale for a mai tai; walked the Civic Center Plaza to see all the art; and of course had the final final at @az88_thebar (my first French 75, won’t be my last- yum).

I could eat this seared tuna salad (slightly spicy!) every day. We also tried the hamachi crudo (🤤) and the crab cake with roasted veggies. Seriously what a treat!

@palmaphx has such a great atmosphere and a beautiful patio. We got the chicken crunch salad and the breakfast noodles. When we mixed them together, magic happened. For drink we tried the Mai tai, the brekky martini and circled back to the patio bar for the EXSW frozen margs! All so good

We couldn’t resist going into @ghostdonkeyphx next door too! Loved the bartenders and we need more of those nachos.

Yum and wow. The Heard Museum in Phoenix is a treasure of Native American art and history. And who knew it was also a great lunch spot! I’d go back for this Thai beef salad. It was perfect weather for lunch in the courtyard too. Go now! Summer is coming….. 😉

p.s. they also serve wine, beer and cocktails, if you’re into that kind of thing. We tried a white blend from an Arizona winery @provisionerwine that was perfect for an afternoon on the patio.

Sky Deck in Del Mar Heights is such a beautiful food hall! Lots of options for food and drinks. We decided on lunch at Craft House and it was #sogood ! Buffalo cauliflower to start (see the shaved carrots and celery as an homage to classic Buffalo wings? Clever) and I know beets are controversial, but I had to get that salad. And of course a cocktail. Might be my favorite meal of Spring Break!

We finally got to Chula Seafood’s newish Grayhaw

We finally got to Chula Seafood’s newish Grayhawk location, and oh the spicy scallops. I tried the poke bowl with ahi and scallops, and have I mentioned the spicy scallops stole the show?

My husband got the clam chowder (awesome!) and the California burrito with shrimp (delicious and hearty). We were watching all of the amazing fresh seafood coming out of the kitchen (like really fresh. Arrives daily from their boat “Chula” in San Diego to the AZ desert!) and listing all of the things we need to come back and try.

Dinner. Sometimes it's the bane of our existence.

Dinner. Sometimes it's the bane of our existence. What to make? It's pretty easy to figure out what to make for your main course, but the sides are another story. Here's an easy, really tasty option, roasted broccoli with parmesan and lemon. And that's pretty much the recipe too!

9 out of 10 veggies taste best roasted, and broccoli is no exception. (Totally made that statistic up, but it seems true, right?) The key for great caramelization (AKA flavor) is to cut the broccoli florets in half so you have flat surfaces to place face down on the baking sheet (or air fryer).

400 degrees, toss with evoo and s&p. Roast for about 15 mins until browned but not burnt. Top with grated parmesan and if you have it, lemon peel or a squeeze of juice. No lemon, no problem.
