Perfect for weeknights, white rice takes only 15 minutes to cook!
Ingredients

- 2 cups water
- 1 cup long grain white rice, such as jasmine or basmati
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (optional)
Instructions
- Add the water, rice and salt to a saucepan. Turn the heat to high.
- Once the water boils, turn the heat to low and cover the pan.
- Simmer covered for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the rice sit for 10 minutes (optional step, but it make the rice fluffier).
- That’s it!
Notes
Leftovers are great for fried rice!
