Raspberry Vodka Chambord Cosmopolitan
If you’re looking for a festive, complex, sweet, tart cocktail, you’ve found it! This raspberry vodka Chambord cosmopolitan is perfect for the holidays, or any time of year really. Why limit a delicious drink to just the holidays, right? This version of the cocktail made famous by the ladies on Sex and the City is just a little fancier with the additions of Chambord and raspberry vodka.
Speaking of raspberry vodka, if you haven’t made your homemade raspberry vodka yet, now is the time! It’s ridiculously easy to make homemade flavored vodkas, and they are delicious. And as long as you’re doing it, make a double batch. Keep one jar for yourself, and give one away as a gift with some cute coupe glasses (and this recipe!).
The Ingredients:
You can use store bought raspberry vodka, but it’s so easy to make your own, and it’s so good. And it’s not a one trick pony, you can also use the homemade raspberry vodka in a Raspberry Vodka Mule!
This cosmo recipe also features orange liqueur and Chambord black raspberry liqueur. You can use any orange liqueur you like, I had Grand Marnier on hand because I’m a big fan of margaritas! Grand Marnier is an orange flavored liqueur that has been produced since 1880. It’s made in France from a blend of Cognac brandy, distilled essence of bitter orange, and sugar. It really is delicious.
You probably have Chambord in your bar from that time this summer when we made Ginger Peach Grown Up Slushies, right? I like to have more than one drink recipe if I’m going to buy a specialty liqueur, and this is a perfect cocktail for your Chambord. Besides, who wouldn’t want that beautiful bottle on their bar cart?
We’ll round out our cosmopolitan with a little cranberry juice (a must in any cosmo) and fresh lime juice.
The Preparation:
The preparation is very simple. Measure all your ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, then shake, shake, shake! Pour the cosmo into a coupe or martini glass, garnish with a little lime wedge, and enjoy. You could also garnish with a fresh cranberry around the holidays if you want to be extra festive.
The Payoff:
Try a Raspberry Vodka Chambord Cosmopolitan (or two!) soon, you’re going to love your new signature drink!
